WineGB 2022 Report

Wines of Great Britain (WineGB) is the national association for the English and Welsh wine industry. WineGB's mission is to advance the multiple interests of all it's members to establish Great Britain as one of the worlds great quality wine regions.

As grape growing and wine production increases in Great Britain, it is vitally important to understand the data behind that growth, in terms of hectarage, production and sales. These industry statistics enable WineGB to plan and inform producers, as well as allowing them to benchmark in areas such as yield and best practice in the commercial elements of our industry like tourism and exports.

The 2022 Industry Report was released in September 2022, produced from WineGB’s annual data survey undertaken with Wine Intelligence and with information supplied by Wine Standards.

It is an incredibly detailed report, and includes statistics on planting, wine production & employment, and sales & distribution / export
