Help to Grow: Digital is a UK-wide government-backed scheme that aims to help you choose, buy, and adopt digital technologies that will help you grow your business.

The Help to Grow: Digital scheme offers your business:

• Free, impartial advice and guidance about what digital technology is best suited to your business and how it can boost your business’ performance.
• Targeted financial support, if your business is eligible, worth up to £5,000 towards the costs of buying?approved?digital technologies.

Designed with industry and independent experts, take the first step and get help to identify the digital technology needs of your business make informed decisions about which software products best meet those needs, and successfully incorporate these products into your business.

Help to Grow: Digital also offers you financial help to buy digital technology.

If you are eligible, you can access a discount of up to 50% on the costs of buying approved software, worth up to £5,000, on the Help to Grow: Digital website. Discounts will be available for approved software that helps your business to build customer relationships and increase sales, and manage accounts and finances digitally.

TOP TIPS FOR APPLICANTS

Here are some useful tips for completing an application:

Sell your idea

Explain really clearly what your project does and how it will benefit the economy. Show what the funding will mean to the success of your project. If you can show that your project is good value for money, and that you’re planning to use the grant money to improve your project, you’re more likely to get the grant.

Do the market research

You have to show that there is real demand for what you want to do, or you’re unlikely to get a grant.

Be prepared

You will need to keep detailed records about your project, because you’ll have to provide proof (including detailed quotes) of how much the various elements of your project will cost.
