Glamping site expands to offer accessible accommodation

A luxury glamping site that opened less than a year ago is expanding thanks to the success of the business.

Wigwam® Holidays Ball Hall Farm, located near York and owned by the Medley family, currently has six Running Water Deluxe Wigwam® Cabins in place, and is set to take delivery of three more deluxe cabins plus three brand new Accessible Running Water Deluxe Cabins, suitable for wheelchair users and their carers.

Emma Medley said, “We opened in June 2018 and had a busy first season, thanks to the glorious summer last year and to the quality of the en-suite Wigwam® Cabins.

“We are one of the first sites in the UK to accept delivery of the brand new accessible cabins will have an electric charging point, a wide access wet room with grab rails, a ramp to get in and out of the cabin, lowered sink and hob, sufficient wheelchair turning circles and the fittings for a mobile hoist. They can also accommodate up to a family of five.

“Our additional cabins will be positioned on the opposite side of our lake, making for a peaceful holiday location perfect for families.”

Wigwam® Holidays Ball Hall Farm received funding to support the installation of 12 luxury Wigwam® Cabins from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development/LEADER Coast, Wolds, Wetlands & Waterways.
