Round two of the RDPE Countryside Productivity Small Grant Scheme has opened today with a total of £15 million available.
Unlike other elements of the overall Countryside Productivity Scheme, administered by the Rural Payments Agency (RPA), this scheme provides funding for farmers in England to purchase equipment to improve on-farm productivity.
Key changes from round one to round two
For the second round of funding, 26 new items have been added to the list of equipment available through the scheme all of which have been identified as being able to help achieve improvements in either technical efficiency, animal health and welfare, resource efficiency, or nutrient management.
In addition, farmers who applied for funding in round one can also submit a new application to receive funding in round two, but the total value of both applicants must not be more than £12,000.
The final main change to round two will require photo evidence of each item purchased to be submitted with each claim.
How to apply
Those wishing to apply for the scheme will be required to complete an online form via the RPA portal and will need the information used to register the business with the RPA to complete the application.
Key dates
The Countryside Productivity Small Grant Scheme is open for applicants between 9 July 2019 until 3 September 2019. Those who apply will receive an email after the closing date to let them know if their application has been successful.
