Providers of services (such as event organisation, waste recycling, forestry and childcare) must comply with the following legislation. This is not an exhaustive list, and legal advice should always be taken before making any business decisions.
Childcare services
The Children Act 2004, the Childcare Act 2006 and the Childcare Act 2016 cover the registration of childcare services in England and the standards they must meet.
The Children and Families (Wales) Measure 2010, the Child Minding and Day Care (Wales) Regulations 2010 and the Regulation of Child Minding and Day Care (Wales) Order 2016 cover the registration of childcare services in Wales and the standards they must meet.

The Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001, the Public Services Reform (Scotland) Act 2010 and the Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Service) Regulations 2011 cover the registration of childcare services in Scotland and the standards they must meet.
The Children (Northern Ireland) Order 1995 covers the registration of childcare services in Northern Ireland and the standards they must meet.
