Staffordshire welcomes new glamping site

Staffordshire’s newest glamping site is ready to welcome guests with an opening date of today (03/06/19).

Wigwam® Holidays Saxon Meadow is a brand new business and is the latest glamping site to open in the Tamworth area.

Set on a 300-acre working farm in the historic village of Seckington which has connections back to the Saxons, Wigwam® Holidays Saxon Meadow includes six handcrafted timber cabins all of which are en-suite, fully heated and insulated. Three of the cabins have luxurious outdoor hot tubs and dogs are welcome in three cabins while the others will be ‘pooch-free’.

Site co-owner Sarah Thirlby said, “We are so excited to be launching our new Wigwam® Site ready for the summer season!

“From seeing the cabins at an agricultural show and attending various Wigwam® Holidays seminars, we knew the cabins were perfect for our location.

“Our location is steeped in history as the village has a motte and bailey castle believed to date from the 11th century, along with numerous attractions nearby. These include the National Memorial Arboretum, Twycross Zoo, Drayton Manor Theme Park and the Tamworth Snowdome. If you love the outdoors, the Conkers family attraction is a short drive away in the National Forest.”
