Details Announced for the UK’s First Rural Business Conference

The UK’s first business conference dedicated solely to the rural and agricultural sector will take place early next year in Macclesfield.

Organisers Andy Venables of Hillsgreen and Simon Haley of SRH Agribusiness have announced all the details of Cultivate - this one-of-a-kind event - which will see business growth experts and extremely successful industry professionals share their experiences, strategies and tips for success with a diverse rural audience.

The one-day Cultivate Conference, which takes place on Wednesday 29h January, 2020 at Heaton House Farm in Macclesfield, is aimed at rural business owners, farmers, farm managers or suppliers to the rural sector who want to innovate, grow and succeed.

The organisers hope to help anyone in the rural sector who is committed to growth to understand the industry more thoroughly, network with like-minded individuals and develop the skills they need to succeed.

“I’ve been to lots of business conferences and growth summits throughout my career,” says Andy Venables, one of the co-organisers, “and they’ve all been very useful – but they’re never tailored to the rural industry.”

“They don’t focus on the real problems we’re all facing on a daily basis – or how we can overcome them. And we want to change that.”

Cultivate Conference will host four highly accomplished speakers throughout the day, including Malcom Smith, talking about the art of delegation, and Brad Waldron, focusing on seven habits for highly effective leadership.

They’ll be joined by Ross McMahon, CEO of Kendal Nutricare who’ll be sharing how he went from dairy farmer to multi-award-winning entrepreneur, and Jane Lane, who’ll be explaining how she helped turn a family farm in to a £100m turnover business.

The conference will also feature two unique Mastermind sessions.

“We wanted to make sure everyone who attends Cultivate goes away with real, actionable insights,” continued Andy, “so these Mastermind sessions are designed to be problem solving, getting businesses talking to and learning from each other and providing tactics that can be implemented the next day on the farm or in the rural business.”

Tickets are now on sale for Cultivate Conference, early bird tickets are priced from just £125 + VAT for the full day.

The event takes place at Heaton House Farm, Rushton Spencer, Macclesfield, on Wednesday 29th January, 2020.
