Business Essentials for Start-ups - Money Management

CUE Business Solutions is offering a series of workshops through the Coventry and Warwickshire Business Support Programme, the workshops are part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

If you have an innovative Technology-based Business idea and have not yet started a business or you have been trading less than 12 months please see whether our FREE workshop would help you.

This workshop is designed to help you understand essentials in finance and how to begin to budget and manage your finances effectively.

Even if you are not quite at the trading stage it is important to gain an understanding of how finance works and to employ good habits (right from the start). This knowledge will make your life easier and reduce financial pressures.

We’ll look at expenses, income and understanding the movement of money in and out of a business. Our interactive approach will help you apply what you’ve learned to your own business.

We’ll discuss what finance means in the context of a pre-start-up and early phase business.

We’ll discuss what investors look for.

Most businesses fail because they run out of cash to pay the bills so this workshop gives you the knowledge to reduce the risk of this happening to you.

You are asked to arrive promptly at 9.30 for an 10.00am start. Refreshments are provided.

We will use the information you supply: A) to provide business support to you and make referrals to partners and other providers of relevant services as appropriate; B) to share with Coventry City Council / Warwickshire County Council (as Accountable Bodies for the programme) and MHCLG (Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government) (or their sub-contractors) for monitoring evaluation and audit purposes.
